Spring is Almost Here!

Eli going down the slide for the very 1ST time!!

Eli trying to eat the plastic eggs!

Caleb enjoying the water inside, because it is
still to cold to play in it outside.

How I do love Caleb's poses for the camera!

April has been a very busy month. Caleb and Eli enjoyed Easter weekend, because they were able to go outside. Caleb went on his first easter egg hunt. He loved picking up the eggs and watching other children do the same. Eli is crawling now and his first tooth has finally come in. Eli's smile brightens our days. We love our boys and don't know what we would do
without them.

How Fast They Grow Up

Don't you just love my hair!

MMMM there is nothing like licking the beaters
when Ma Ma is done with them.

Yep, I am getting up on my knees, but not
crawling yet. Maybe next month.

Sometimes I get so tired of playing that I need
to take a short nap.

I thought I would post a few pictures of Caleb and Eli. They are growing up fast. Caleb has started not wanting to take baths unless Eli takes one with him. Caleb has started to show Eli how to play cars and crawl around. We are proud of Eli and his army crawl. As you can see Caleb's hair is becoming quite curly. There is never a dull moment with the boys. How I love them and feel blessed that I get to be with them all day.

New Year Resolution-Update Blog Regularly

Family and Friends far and near we are happy to bring you a brief update on our family. Manuel is still working for Idahoan Foods and enjoying it, especially when they give him free potatoes. He also plays a lot of soccer (indoors) with Caleb and of course is attempting to teach Eli how to play as well. Manuel took us on our yearly temple trip. We decided to go to Texas. We visited the Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Oklahoma City Temples. It was quite the trip, because I accidently dropped our camera in the San Antonio Texas Temple water fountain. I almost had a nervous breakdown, but the pictures were still on the SD card so all was well. Thanks Marco, Megan, and Alex for your hospitality and patience with us. We sure love and miss you.
Caleb went to Toddler Lab up at the college this last fall and enjoyed every single minute of it. I never had to talk him into going. There was even a few times he ran in the room before I could even say goodbye to him. Caleb is starting to say many phrases in english and espanol. Among his favorite words are, "La Vaca (cow) and Caballo (horse), and he loves to make the sounds too. Caleb is a great brother to Eli and makes sure he gets kisses whenever he leaves to go somewhere. Caleb's curly hair is driving his Pa Pa crazy, but his Ma Ma loves it and doesn't want to get rid of it.
Eli is growing so fast that he might pass up Caleb someday. He rolls all over the place and puts anything he can in his mouth. Eli does his best to play cars with Caleb. Caleb often makes Eli laugh by dancing and talking to him. Eli was able to play out in the snow with us for a few minutes Christmas day. He kept looking around at all of us throwing snow balls and laughing.

2008 seemed to go by so quickly. Manuel and I feel blessed to have healthy and loving children. We are thankful for each of you and the love you show towards our family. Please don't give up on our blog and feel free to send us your blog addresses as well. We know that it is hard at times to keep up. We love each of you very much.

Have a Happy and Blessed New Year!

Eli Manuel Our New Baby!

This is the day after Eli was born. He sure is a miracle. He weighed 6 11/12 pounds and was 18 1/2 " long. He was born, much to his dismay, in the same day as his uncle Charly June 21. The reason he was a miracle is that he was born in the Emergency Room lobby. Yes, you read that right. Shellise's water broke on our drive to the hospital, then, she began to scream frantically: "Honey, I need to push. The baby is coming." We were about a block and a half away and I tried to convince Shellise that everything would be ok. We pulled up at the ER entrance, I quickly ran to the desk to get someone but there was nobody there. I ran back only to find Shellise in more pain and screaming: "Honey, the baby's head is out. You need to catch him, you need to catch him." I replied to her, trying to convince myself at the same time; "Sweetie it will be alright. Let me take a look." I looked and fortunately the baby's head was not out. I then screamed at one of the ten people that were in the lobby to get someone now. The people in the ER were kind of freaked out by the look in their faces. Well, miraculously she felt no more desire to push and we were able to walk past the sliding doors and one of the man there brought a wheel chair for Shellise. She was about to sit down when once again she felt a strong desire to push. "Manuel, the baby's head is out, the head is out." Next thing I know a doctor rushes from the outside of the ER to Shellise's side and said: "Can I put you on the floor and deliver the baby on the floor." "Yes, yes I am ready to push now." She replied. A nurse huried with a gurney, Shellise was put on the gurney and to my surprise as soon as she laid on the gurney the baby's face was plastered on the gurney. One push and forty five seconds later, I counted, Eli was born safe and sound amist the clapping of the ten to fifteen people that experienced this intense, exciting, and joyous moment for our family.
